Reflexology and You.
We’re excited to provide this opportunity to discover how reflexology works, what you can expect during and after the session, and how this form of alternative medicine can promote ongoing wellness.
Our Process
Before your first session: The therapist will conduct a short intake conversation where you’ll be able to share, with full confidentiality, ongoing health issues and any conditions you may currently be facing. Together, you will explore the different treatment types and focus areas that will best fit your individual needs.
Treatment Process: You can choose to be treated while sitting or lying down, per your preference. We highly recommend lying down, if comfortable for you, in order to achieve optimal relaxation. Only your feet and the bottom of your calves will be exposed. The reflexologist will then initiate a long series of movements, pressing and massaging specific reflexology points that correlate with the treatment plan designed for you. Specially-crafted reflexology cream will be used to enhance the experience.
Treatment sensations: During the treatment you can expect to feel a broad range of sensations, ranging from light tenderness and low-grade pain, to deep relaxation and overall calm. You may experience some brief tingling in various areas of your body, which is completely normal.
After the session: You should initially feel a sense of pervasive calm and lightness. Please note that common therapy reactions, especially after the first few sessions, may occasionally include stomach discomfort, dizziness, cough and/or unusual dreaming. These often pass within a couple days. If you experience anything that concerns you, please don’t hesitate to contact Yaron: (484) 566-7901
Ongoing care: Reflexology is most effective when delivered in a course of 10 weekly treatments, with the option to space them bi-weekly after the 6th session. In some cases, five treatments may suffice, depending on individual needs and the age of the patient. After the first session, you and the therapist will discuss the optimal plan for you.
